Grow with AI: your 30-day plan
When you finish, you can follow a month-long practice plan and describe your AI skills honestly to your agency and clients.
Stuck? Ask the AI tutorSkills that gain value
Listening, needs analysis, claim advocacy, clear explanation, local market knowledge and trust grow in value. So does workflow thinking: knowing which tasks to speed up and which need your full attention.
Agents who can explain a policy so that a worried client says, “Now I understand,” stay important. Faster paperwork gives you more time for that.
Four weeks of practice
Week one: learn the agency rules and carrier guidance on AI. Map your tasks. Practice only with fictional clients. Week two: use AI for plain-language explanations and follow-up drafts, five of each, and check them against policy documents. Note the mistakes.
Week three: build a short prompt library for your most common emails. Week four: with approval, use one workflow for real but low-risk tasks, such as general educational messages without client data, and track time saved. Share what you learned with your principal.
Describing skills honestly
On a resume or profile, write: “Created plain-language client explanations and follow-up templates with AI drafting support; reviewed all content against policy documents.” Do not claim that AI sells or advises for you.
In an interview, share a short story: a task, a mistake the tool made, how you caught it and what you changed. Employers value care.
Talking with clients and your manager
Your manager wants fewer errors and faster service. Propose a small pilot with clear rules. Clients want to be heard. If asked, say you use approved tools to help prepare communications, protect their information and review everything yourself.
Never overpromise. Offer a call or a meeting for complex questions. That is where an agent adds value that no draft can.
Practice now
- Write your four-week plan with one specific goal each week.
- Write a two-sentence answer for a client who asks if you use AI.
Use any AI assistant you have. Do not paste private, client or patient information into it.
Check yourself
1. What is the best week-one step?
2. Which resume line is honest?
3. Where does an agent add the most value beyond a draft?
Ask the AI tutor
Ask anything about this lesson, in any language. The tutor is an AI: it can be wrong, and it never needs your personal details.
