Lesson 4 of 4 · about 5 min
Grow with AI: your 30-day plan
When you finish, you can follow a month-long practice plan and describe your AI skills honestly to clients and your broker.
Stuck? Ask the AI tutorSkills that gain value
Local expertise, honest advice, negotiation, client care, strong photography and storytelling, and the ability to verify claims grow in value. People can find listings online. They still need a guide who knows what the listing does not say.
Time saved on drafts can go toward calls, visits, preparing sellers and following up with past clients.
Four weeks of practice
Week one: learn your broker's or firm's AI and advertising rules. Practice with facts about a property you know. Week two: write five listings and five follow-ups with strong prompts and compare them to your usual style. Run the fair-language check each time.
Week three: build a prompt library for your regular tasks, each with a built-in check. Week four: use your best workflow in real work where allowed, and track time saved and corrections needed. Share the results with your broker.
Describing your skills honestly
On a profile: “Use AI-assisted drafting for listing copy and client follow-ups; all claims are verified and reviewed for fair-housing compliance.” Avoid claiming AI picks homes for clients or sets prices.
In interviews, tell a short story about a claim AI added that was false, how you caught it and what you changed.
Talking with clients and your broker
Clients care about service and honesty. If asked, say you use tools to help draft messages and checklists, protect their information and review everything. Do not claim a tool replaces your local knowledge.
With your broker or manager, propose a short pilot and share your checking steps. Offer to build a team template that includes the fair-language check.
Practice now
- Write your four-week plan with one concrete goal per week.
- Write a two-sentence answer for a client who asks if your listing copy was written by AI.
Use any AI assistant you have. Do not paste private, client or patient information into it.
Check yourself
1. Which resume line is honest?
2. What should you do with time saved on drafting?
3. What belongs in a team template?
